Fall Home Selling Tips
With the fall market upon us, I thought I would put together a list of ideas to help you
prep your home for sale during this busy market. Many people will be waiting
for the spring Market to sell their home. However selling during the fall market gives you less competition between
other sellers which can be a huge advantage
Heating and cooling professionals recommend having your HVAC
serviced once per year. Having your system checked and cleaned right
before the winter months is an excellent time as well as right before listing.
When selling during the fall, keep in mind as the days get shorter
there is less natural light. Turn on as many light fixtures as possible
to help keep the home bright during those evening showings.
Keep your gutter clear of falling leaves and debris. Clogged Gutters
could overflow and the water could cause damage to walls, soffits,
fascia, siding, basements and most importantly the foundation.
Incorporate the season into your home staging. Buyers want
to picture themselves in their new home, so create a cozy fall feel
by layering extra fabrics to add dimension and warmth.
